睢阳之战，也称睢阳之围，发生在唐朝贞观二十五年（651年），是唐朝与西突厥的一次重要战役。 唐朝自唐太宗贞观中兴后，开始向西突厥扩张，但突厥族的统治者颉利可汗带领大军多次进攻唐朝边境，威胁到唐朝的安全。贞观二十三年，颉利可汗率领30万大军进攻唐朝，唐朝派遣玄武节度使李世勣，副将宋知古、李孝光等人为先锋部队，与突厥军队在澧水一役大胜，击退了突厥军队。 贞观二十四年，颉利可汗又率领50余万人的大军再次进攻唐朝，这次唐朝决定采取主动进攻策略，以防止突厥再次侵袭。贞观二十五年春，唐朝决定围攻西突厥的重要城池睢阳（今河南商丘），派遣神龙元年（705年）的安西大都护齐忠义率领十二使节，与河西节度使卢杞、神策军节度使高君雅等领导的军队进攻睢阳。 睢阳城守将天水郡王李谅率领5000余人顽强抵抗，唐军无法攻破城池。贞观二十五年五月，李谅欲乘唐军士气低落、主帅齐忠义病重之际发动反攻。然而，在士兵们的抵抗下，唐军最终击退了李谅的进攻，并围攻睢阳城。 唐朝围攻睢阳城达三个多月，突厥军队在城内供应日渐困难，最终被迫投降。颉利可汗意识到无法继续抵抗，率领残兵败将突围逃离。李谅则被俘虏，被杀以终其忠义。 睢阳之战的胜利巩固了唐朝对西突厥的控制，为唐朝在中亚地区的扩张奠定了基础。同时，这场战役也体现了唐朝军队训练有素、战术灵活的特点，为贞观年间唐太宗的边疆战争打下了坚实的基础。
